Oviedo Vision Center strives to stay on top of new and evolving technology
that can contribute to our patients' well-being. We continuously offer
new and enhanced products such as thinner eyeglass lenses, disposable
contact lenses and the availability of the Excimer Laser for the
treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism..
This Excimer Laser procedure is called LASIK (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratectomy). While LASIK is not for everyone, it is an exciting option for some nearsighted patients, reducing or sometimes even eliminating the need for glasses or contact lenses.
As board-certified Optometric Physicians, we provide pre-operative evaluations as well as post-operative care for LASIK patients. We work closely with local eye surgeons, pre-op and post-op, who are experienced in this procedure, and we are available to help you decide whether or not LASIK is a suitable alternative for you.
